Its definitely a much more mature and thought-out version of Broly.
He gets to do some acting, as opposed to just screaming Kakarot!
over and over, Sabat tells EW.
Broly isnt even the only fan favoriteDragon Ballcharacter making his canon debut in this movie.
This time hes for real, and Sabat and Schemmel both say Gogeta is cooler than ever.
They would know, since playing a fusion character like Gogeta requires them to combine their voice acting.
I was never much into Gogeta/Vegito, because I was just focused on Goku, Schemmel says.
I can say this: After this movie im a bona fide Gogeta fan.
I want an action figure and a T-shirt.
Its gonna blow your mind how badass Gogeta is.
Itll be the best-sounding Fusion youve ever heard in aDragon Ballfeature.
I think thats why I like the character so much now.
Sabat and Schemmel have both been voicing these characters for decades now.
I owe my whole life to this character, Schemmel says about Goku.
Im so married to the character that I forget Im the character and then get recognized.
Because I forget Im the character, people just talk to me.
They dont even introduce themselves, they just say, whens the movie coming out?
Occasionally they can be really cool about it, Sabat adds.
Sometimes theyre super nerdy, and you dont want to deny someone when they recognize you.
I had a similar experience maybe it was the same TSA guy, Schemmel says.
He told me, you look familiar.
I was like, Im waiting for you to figure it out!
Sometimes Ill compliment someones Dragon Ball shirt and see if they recognize its me.
Were the dub actors in America, and were proud to bring it to English-speaking people.
Its the reason Im here on Earth.
Dragon Ball Super: Brolyhits American theaters on Jan. 16.
