He tries to bond with Wayne over their shared service time.

But that doesnt last long after Roland asks him, Do you like kids generally?

He rightfully snaps back, What the fs the right answer to that?

Looking for those dolls in 1980 is Amelia.

Elsewhere, Roland and Wayne are doing their own investigating at Wills funeral.

They talk to Lucys cousin Dan, who previously lived with the Purcells, and Toms parents.

But when Toms parents start getting worked up, Tom tells the detectives that its time to leave.

Second problem: His alibi is from a daycare that hes been helping out at.

They tell the daycare people that they wont be hearing from Ted again.

Roland asks if they should kill him.

Thats going to both scare Ted and haunt Roland.

That does it for the 1980 portion of the episode.

Lets see what is happening in 1990.

Wayne then goes home and finds the proof for Amelias novel.

I never stopped coming up with theories about that case, Wayne declares to the director.

Wayne then asks again, another sign that hes losing his memory.

Hes lost, confused, and in his pajamas.
