Whats in store for the Pearsons in season 3?

Whats the moment in the premiere that viewers wont stop talking about?

Is this the year of Miguel (Jon Huertas)?

That is juxtaposed with starting life over at square one again three months post-Jack passing.

Rebecca is trying her level best to just push forward and pick up the pieces of their shattered life.

Its a good mix.

Its a sshow at home, and everybody is off the rails.

Life is not going smoothly.

I maybe wasnt expecting that, but I feel like were all exchanging roles in some senses.

I like that because its true to life.

I know that every show always says, Well, this is the best season yet!

but I kind of feel like it is.

This is that juncture in their lives where everything matters all the more now.

Who are they ultimately going to be?

I have no choice.

I need to be the parent that Jack always was.

She wasnt the parent that was good at making the speeches.

Jacks death loomed over much of season 2.

I find it a really juicy, interesting time.

Theres so much to extract from it.

Its almost more daunting than playing the pain of losing someone.

I got to turn it up to high heat now because were ready to shoot.

It hasnt left you, and it wont leave you for a good amount of time.

How did they get engaged?

I want to know more about their marriage.

They came from very different backgrounds.

Is it a good, Whaaa…?

or a bad, Whaaa…?Its a bad Whaaa…?

People are going to be like, Whaaa…?

so thats pretty interesting.

I think Dan has talked a lot about figuring out who [Randall] is talking about.

I think that every episode is offering a more fully realized picture of who that is.

Its not being dragged for the sake of being cheeky.

This is exactly that, but were leaning a little bit into the future aspect of it.

Again, I think it will help people like Miguel more.

But for me, I think were slowly but surely were probably like a quarter of the way there.

Its almost impossible to work with him, actually.

Im like, Dude, you cant make me laugh.

You have prosthetics on too.

Were not supposed to laugh and move our faces a lot.

But I look forward to the challenge.
