Andrew Lincoln (Rick)
Its insane.
And I said, You used to be a civil engineer.
When you build a road and a bridge, is the bridge real or not?

Gene Page/AMC (3)
And he went, Well, its real.
And I went, Rick Grimes is real.
Hes just as real as any other part of my life because its what weve done.

Gene Page/AMC
So yeah, its huge.
This amount of time with a character Im sure will never happen again in my career.
I never thought that I would ever play something for eight years.

Gene Page/AMC
I keep thinking back to that first episode.
When I first started, I thought Carol would be around for maybe three episodes.
I never, ever, ever couldve imagined that she would still be here 100 episodes in.

Gene Page/AMC
Just watch that first episode.
That first episode remains one of my favorites because of the humanity and the conflict and the heartbreak.
That just reeled me in when I was watching the episode.

Gene Page/AMC
I was like, this is really different.
This is real story.
This could really go somewhere.

Gene Page/AMC
Its just special, although I didnt think that Carol would be part of it.
Norman Reedus (Daryl)
I never thought we would get this far.
I dont think any of us did.

Gene Page/AMC
Its been such a big part of our lives, this show.
It never felt like, oh, were going to go in and act on a show.
It always felt like we were living it.

Gene Page/AMC
The tears are real.
The bruises are real.
The friendships are real.

Angela Kang, Scott M. Gimple, and Michael Satrazemis on ‘The Walking Dead’.Gene Page/AMC
The stories are so real to us, and its become such a yearbook, this show.
Its like the lines between reality and being on this show are super blurry sometimes.
Its been a giant blessing a hard-fought blessing.

Gene Page/AMC
It still is great.
Lauren Cohan (Maggie)
Its been seven years for me now.
They say within a seven-year cycle you could change completely.
Its a good way of getting perspective on things.
Danai Gurira (Michonne)
Ultimately, its a serious blood thing.
It doesnt happen often that you find a family like that and you have the joint purpose.
And its such a beautiful energy that you get to be a part of.
Of course, Mr. Lincoln is such a huge part of that beautiful spirit the show has.
Its just family, and that, to me, is the best part.
I just genuinely look forward to celebrating with everybody.
And were still standing on that foundation.
Im speechless, you know.
The fact that people watch it, thats a bonus.
Thats the icing on the cake.
I think thats probably the biggest challenge in terms of making the show is that were constantly pushing ourselves.
I know that me personally, I feel the pressure when Im directing.
Scott M. Gimple (Showrunner, Exec-Producer)
Really, the No.
Making the show has definitely been an addiction.
What Im saying is, its all been one giant lost weekend.
Robert Kirkman (Creator ofThe Walking Deadcomic, Exec-Producer)
Its amazing.
Its a little overwhelming.
