Another favorite gets the boot

What is even happening with these live eliminations this season?

Its madness, it really is.
Lets start from the top.
The first two artists to get through tonight areof courseChloe Kohanski and Addison Agen.
They both had undeniably good performances and killed it with downloads, so thats a no-brainer.
Theyve been consistent bright spots all season, and frankly, its a good thing theyre still here.
But for whatever reason, this is an awkward and forced group performance.
Each of these two were solid enough last night that this isnt much of a surprise.
They mightve had some momentary misses, but theyve proven themselves time and time again this season.
That leaves Adam Cunningham and Janice Freeman in the bottom two, which…wow.
Theres nothing nice to say about this performance, really.
Shes pitchy, she misses some important notes in the chorus, and she seems completely unrehearsed.
Based on their instant save performances alone, Adam Cunningham deserves to win.
Based on everything else, this is as much of an upset as last weeks elimination.
This season is wild.
