In fact, death has always been one of its strong suits.
But before we get to all the sadness, lets start with, well, some anger.

But seeing as how she doesntwantto hurt Klaus, she gets another idea.

Yep, Klaus goes and retrieves Roman, who is essentially being held captive for observation by his sister.
(Just kidding, he does that for fun.)
Klaus happily snaps Romans neck and delivers him, all chained up, to Hope.
And much to his chagrin, Hope wants to be left alone with her one-time crush.
He tells her to think fingernails or maybe even tongue.
After all, you want to build the suspense.
When it comes to being a dad, Klaus isnt good at advice.
When it comes to torture, hes the very best.
(Or the very worst?)
Despite Marcels super-Original status, he ends up strapped to a table where Emmett extracts his venom.
What were they thinking?!
Hes the ultimate weapon!
When he finally makes his way to the warehouse, he and Marcel are outnumbered.
You are my family, Josh tells Marcel before he dies.
So, Hope decides to spare Roman because hes no more guilty or responsible than me.
and kills everyone in about three seconds.
She also destroys the case of Marcels venom, so we dont have to worry about that anymore either.
Sounds like things are really looking up, right?
Suddenly, those blue eyes are yellow.
And I know Romans made some mistakes, but those two are pretty adorable.
As for Antoinette, she and Elijah say goodbye with a kiss.
Shes headed to Shanghai to hide out for now.
Hes not sure theyll meet again, but she sincerely hopes they do.
(But does he feel the same?)
And that brings us to our final love story of the hour: Vincent and Ivy.
After Ivy wakes up, Vincent realizes that she and the other poisoned witches are in transition.
Once thats done, Ivy is allowed to die the peaceful death she deserves.
And with that, the final seasons death toll continues to rise.
Overall, this felt like a fairly standard episode only made better by the Aiden surprise.
Outside of that, it might not have left the biggest impression.
