Season 3 ofThe Good Fightopens with two very surprising words: Im happy.

But Baranksi tells EW thatGood Fightviewers should not get used to seeing Diane in such a contented space.

I happen to think its just one of the most adult relationships on television.

THE GOOD FIGHT

Elizabeth Fisher/CBS

I mean, the first words of the season are Im happy, those two words.

In bed, with this delicious man.

What is this [blonde hair] Im finding on his jacket?

And thats in one of the episodes.

Many of the characters will have soliloquies this season.

Its about where have all the real men gone?

Its an aria about what happened to real men?

Where are the Burt Lancasters and Paul Newmans?

And hed say, I have a pair at home just like them.

Even sophisticated women, they want a guy to be a guy, so thats one big monologue.

She knows his reputation, so shes immediately on her guard about him.

Or let me put it this way: She remains unimpressed by him.

Shes ringing alarm bells through the season.

Yes, Maia is the victim of the Roland Blum influence.

Diane, she will be the avenging angel Maia does suffer a great fall because of the Roland influence.

Diane will join the resistance to fight Trump.

How far am I able or willing to go?

This season, its covert and underground and very much fighting the enemy from behind the scenes.

Its really an interesting season for everybody, but I love the Diane story.

I think its something that people will relate to.

Im as excited as Ive ever been in my 10 years of playing Diane.

The Good Fightseason 3 premieres Thursday, March 14 onCBS All Access.
