That would be like killingJimmy Kimmeloff ofJimmy Kimmel Live.

Raymond Reddington is…kind of why we’re all here.

Well, we’re here forhim, and just as importantly, his relationship to Elizabeth Keen.

But you could’t have one without the other.

It’s also a good time to say “I love you.”

This lens of culmination makes for one of the more emotional episodes ofThe Blacklistin recent memory.

BASTIEN MOREAU, NO.

My most commonly used note while watching this hour was,“hmmmmm.

But this episode makes one thing clear: everything and I mean, everything started with Bastien Moreau.

How Red goes about blackmailing the President is a slightly more complicated tale.

Since that plan failed, she tells Moreau they’re in crisis mode.

He says to tell her boss to chill: “It will be handled within two days.”

Now they have to find out who that account belongs to.

Luckily, there was plenty of upcoming action to dry my tears…

Since this Luxemburg bank specializes in accounts for criminals, its safeguards are unlike any other.

So, that’s a yikes.

Reddington says he alone possesses the knowledge to prevent that assassination, but McMahan won’t budge.

She assures Reddington that the president will never grant him clemency.

“If you want absolution, you have it,” Red tells Cooper.

And with good reason.

But they’ll sure try, and they won’t stop trying until the clock strikes midnight.

The FBI rushes to the hotel where Ziegler is taking a meeting with a Senator Wade.

Or you’ve got the option to listen to me, and she’ll survive.”

(Of course, she already knew that, butstill.)

She collapses to the floor…

WhereBEETLESstart crawling out of her mouth.Damn you, General Shiro!!!!

Panabaker tells him that would be career suicide.

“Yes,” Cooper agrees “for the president.”

That sound you hear is a mic dropping.

Cooper really isThe Best.

Oh, and that other sound you hear?

That would be my sobs!

“I felt…misunderstood; acted out.

My father fancied himself a disciplinarian, very moralistic.

Instead of trying to understand me, he excommunicated me.”

“Six years ago, I turned myself over because of you.

Now, here at the end, I’m at peace because of them.”

IfThe Blacklisthadn’tbeenrenewed for a seventh season(it was!

But given what comes next, thiscan’tbe the end.

Because Liz decidesnotto ask Red for answers in their final moments together.

She decides to give him something instead: “I love you,” Lizzie tells Red.

“That’s what I wanted to say.

That’s what I wanted you to hear.”

Red is nothing short of shocked, but there’s no time left to say anything else.

The administrator asks Reddington if he has any last words.

Red looks at Liz…

BLACKOUT.

Is the President of the United States…plotting against the United States???

Also, Red just…let that lady die, right?
