PBS made a huge mistake here and they need to fix it, Smiley said this morning.
PBS engaged an outside law firm to conduct an investigation immediately after learning of troubling allegations regarding Mr. Smiley.
This investigation included interviews with witnesses as well as with Mr. Smiley.
There are some people who believe that there is no such thing as a consensual relationship in the workplace.
I hear that point of view and I respect it.

Smileypreviously issueda lengthy statement about the allegations, saying he was shocked by the PBS announcement.
He also previously criticized PBS for its investigation.
This has gone too far.
And, I, for one, intend to fight back.
