I have a few others I want to ask you about this year.
First one: Rock Bottom.
It was first done inMarquesas.

MONTY BRINTON/CBS
It was last done inAll-Stars.
You just finished airing season 38.
You know I love shots underwater of people diving down, so this is a Dalton Ross favorite.

Monty Brinton/CBS
What can you tell me about Rock Bottom?JOHN KIRHOFFER:I love Rock Bottom.
And you know that Rock Bottom is from the KISS song, Rock Bottom.
It gets all stirred up, you know?

CBS
So we dont have the bottom.
But thats one of our favorites.
But again, you need the right environment for it with the right depth.

We just dont have it here in Fiji.
Lets go to a different one.
This is one on land.
Crate Idea.JOHN KIRHOFFER:Ahh, Crate Idea.
I love it because its so basic and we can make big blocks.
Im not sure why we havent done it in a while.
Hes like, Let me go up the crates.
Itll rub it in to them.
I think well see it again.
Its definitely not dead.
That challenge is a classic.
But then we come back to it.
GALLERY:Survivors 35 Best Challenges Ever
Okay, next one: Get a Grip.
This is a classicSurvivorchallenge, debuted inVanuatu.
And I dont think weve seen it sinceGame Changers.
But at the same time, its a classic challenge.
It is absolutely coming back.
It is a classic.
When do you use proportions?
If its crawling under something, the small person has the advantage.
But my friend whos 57 can sit right there no problem.
Now, hold on.
Because if you fall, youre going to die.
Oh, Im sorry your feet are too big.
Lets get to one of my favoriteSurvivorchallenges ever: Spit it Out.
You guys did it inNicaraguaand then you did it again the following season,Redemption Island.
I loved every second of it.
We did it back-to-back seasons and I was having a heart attack both times.CHRIS MARCHAND: Its super dangerous.
Its really dangerous.JOHN KIRHOFFER:It is.
Yeah, it was in the same location.JOHN KIRHOFFER: Same location.
And it was very exciting.
It was super exciting.
That was a Dan Munday idea, I believe.
But it was just so sketchy putting people in that position of being upside down.
So that ones not coming back?JOHN KIRHOFFER:I wouldnt say never.
You all are now filming season 40.
Kirhoffer, youve been here for every day of those 20 years.
Whats the vibe like on location here for season 40?
I remember season 20 thinking, Wow, okay.
Weve got a few more now and then well go.
Especially coming offEdge of Extinction, where the ratings were still viable in television.
So I think the vibe around camp with everybody was pretty high.
There was a lot of hugs in the morning, a lot of high fives.
So yeah, its a lot of pride because its a family.
It was like a big family celebration.
The same fans that love baseball arent the same fans that loveSurvivor, but they watch it the same.
They watch it like its a sporting event.
