Because fun fact: This episode taught me that seeing Charlies hair can and did make me tear up.

Yes, I just said CHARLIE.

The three humans in questions each had bags over their heads … and thats when I saw the hair.

I tried not to get too excited, but at this point.

And so, I started to get emotional.

The only person who was more emotional than me was Dean, who instantly became protective of her.

The journey to get to Charlie, however, was not as easy as Dean wouldve hoped.

So when Dean collapses, Ketch is able to concoct some sort of antidote and save the day.

But thats not to say Dean is 100 percent.

And thats when he tells Ketch the truth about Charlie.

Charlie was like family, Dean says.

She was a sister to me.

She did more for me and Sam than I could even say.

And she was butchered and we couldnt get there in time.

So with that, he helps Dean up and they head off to find her.

By the time they get to her, shes about to be executed by Michaels followers.

So, with the help of a grenade and some angel-killing bullets, they save the day.

They take her to the rift, but she says she wants to stay and protect her home.

Ketch proposes that Dean go back through the rift, gather the troops, and then return.

In the meantime, Ketch and Charlie will stay behind and find Mary and Jack.

So Dean steps back through the rift, but the question is: Whats he stepping back into?

Remember when Lucifer stabbed him?

Well, it was one of his tricks.

But when he was captured by Asmodeus, he was forced to endure years of torture.

At one point, he thought hed done the same thing.

But as he tells Gabriel, Then my family needed me.

And this is my life.

So yes, hookers and Monte Carlo might sound great, but Gabriels family needs him.

The world needs him.

And the Winchesters need him.

They werent hookers, Sam, they were porn stars.

Just like that, Gabriels back!

Thats the good news.

And he does just that.

Gabriel finally fights back, healing himself, stretching his wings, and then burning Asmodeus alive.

Hows THAT for a comeback?!

They ask him for his help to fight Michael, but Gabriels never been much of a team player.

He thanks them for the rescue and the redemption arc, but hes ready to bounce.

Just like that, hes gone.

Every time we get close, it always falls apart, he says.

Cas promises him theyll find Gabriel, to which Dean responds, We better.

But thats not all that happened this week!

Up in heaven, Jo and Lucifer are fighting about Lucifers new role.

At least until he hears something fun.

Honestly, I could not love this scene more.

One person who wont be on that list?

Jo, who discovers that Lucifer lied about being able to make angels and therefore cant help heaven.
