Rami Malek reacts to first Oscar nomination: 'It's never really felt in the realm of possibilities'

Rami Malekwas in Paris when he first heard about his Best Actor Oscar nomination.

There are considerable risks involved when playing a legendary rock star.

All that conflict inside was just brewing into a powder keg that was ready to explode.

I think people will say you never know, but its pretty once-in-a-lifetime.

I have to ask the requisite where were you when you heard about the nomination?

Its just something you never expect to happen.

Its like a distant dream that actors have and hope for to some degree.

But its never really felt in the realm of possibilities its a pretty joyous occasion to say the least.

Im always so thankful that I get to be a working actor.

Its a profoundly humbling moment for me.

And that Oscar-nominated title sticks with you for the rest of your careerYeah you cant take that away.

And this film did so well, were a Best Picture nominee.

Im just so proud of the work on this [movie].

Its still beautiful to share in his story with the people that loved him.
