The American flag pin on his lapel is a particularly nice touch. Watching on TV, Kara and Jonn are horrified as this invites Elite violenceandattempts to overturn a crucial law....

First, lets check in on the family drama. to help a wounded, snarling Ruby, Alex turns to books on childhood trauma. Jonn, too, is struggling as his father slips further into dementia. Ruby mopes and whines, while a shoot-em-up alien hunting game terrifies Myrnn. ), and the next thing you know, the two are happily playing foosball. Excellent job drawing these plotlines together, show!...

Theres self-blame aplenty tonight as our Super-friends struggle to settle into their new roles for the season. And then theres the fact that the only thing keeping her sister alive is a Daft Punk suit. Naturally, her suit is almost immediately compromised, and she becomes a super-liability. Shes relieved not to have to hide any longer and encourages Supergirl to remain a beacon of hope. Fear can create monsters where none existed before, she says. Then we cut to Agent Liberty, in his mask and hate-watching Supergirl on the news....

Still, the Lena storyline was fascinating, so lets start there this week. Our favorite Luthor is commencing her Harun-El trials with Subject 0331, whose name shed rather not know. And shes a bad person for not calling for help when her biological mother drowned when Lena was four....
