Specifically, the 20-year-old activist-turned-actor remembers admiring Storm from the iconicX-Menanimated series.

But this isnt the first time Maines has broken new ground.
Just having someone to see in the media is so empowering and validating.
Apart from fulfilling a childhood dream, playing Nia has also inspired Maines herself.

Thats when itll really sink in that we have a trans superhero.
