The audience paid to see superheroes fight a big monster, so this was the last thing they wanted.

Out of the world of magical creatures and back to where we started getting back to real life villains.

We do have our mythology figured out for next season.
Its super cool, its super exciting, and were putting the world of magic behind us.
So, I think its going to feel, hopefully, very fresh.
This finale did have that very surprising Vandal Savage cameo.
I cant get enough Vandal Savage.
You know, these are talented people.
The problem withLegendsis theres never enough time, theres never enough story, theres never enough money.
The wish list, its always long.
Can you tease what we can expect from that?What we would like to explore is the consequences.
Like going back toHelen of Troy, What if we dont return her to Troy?
What if we put her on Themyscira?
The Legends are obviously writing their own story.
Its funny, we took them from the Losers History Didnt Need to these people who rewrote Zaris future.
I mean, they certainly learned that lesson.
The season ends with Zari being replaced with her brother.
Im guessing that cant be the only change thats happened to the Legends.
Because I kind of feel like thats where theyre at their best.
Theyre essentially underdogs, and I love the idea that they never really get credit for their good work.
The finale states, Theyre not franchise superheroes.
The Monitor had the mostLegends-like cameo in the finale: just eating popcorn as everything went down.
Was the directive that every show had to tease the next crossover and you went that irreverent route?
Also, after sitting out on Elseworlds, are you glad to be back in the mix for Crisis?
Definitely not the grade grubber.
Definitely not the valedictorian captain of the football team.
Thats the problem with being cool is that you cant act like you want it.
Of course, were thrilled.
We cant act like were thrilled though because if we do that were not going to be cool anymore.
Its a funny thing.
So yeah, were thrilled to join up with everybody this year.
DCs Legends of Tomorrowwill return midseason on The CW.
The next crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths will span all five Arrowverse shows and air in the winter.
