I swear the dialogue on this show gets better every week.

We kick things off at Triad where Agent Clarke has a bag over someones head.

More on that later.

Let’s Just Finish the Dance

But that doesnt mean hes not worried.

One thing is certain: She needs to blow off some steam.

Although she cant exactly wolf out today because there are mortals coming to the school.

Because the Salvatore School is hosting this years Miss Mystic Falls!!!

Furthermore, its the beauty pageant that Caroline Forbes a.k.a.

Josie and Lizzies mother won.

Its also where Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore had their first dance together.

Trust me, its a THING.

Hes worried that shes getting cold feet about their relationship.

Im indestructible, youre relatively indestructible, he tells her.

And now, they finally have a long road ahead of them without obstacles.

Unless, of course, you consider Hopes ex-boyfriend an obstacle.

Enter Roman, the guy who stole Hopes heart onThe Originalsbefore his mother killed her mother.

Sounds complicated, right?

But Roman isnt the only surprise guest at the school.

It marked a major moment for Klaroline shippers.

But thats only one of manyTVDreferences.

But Josies nothing if not a devoted sister.

Landon is quick to apologize … until they find that MGs mother has been turned to stone.

Instantly, Landon thinks Roman did it.

But he says Hope would never get back with him.

Roman knows Landon doesnt trust him, but he tells him that he should trust Hope.

Spoiler: Its Nia, MGs new friend.

After she turns Ric to stone, she asks where Landon Kirby is.

As for Landon, hes drinking his sorrows away when Penelope joins him.

This is where I should mention that Penelope is the snooper to end all snoopers.

Translation: Shes reading EVERYONES journals.

Her hair is literally full of secrets.

But it doesnt last long.

As the dance begins, Nia finds Landon, but MG is there to save the day.

Apparently, three tolls of a bronze bell disrupt a gorgons powers.

From there, MG knocks her out and Landon informs him that theyre now even.

Back inside, Josie finally reads Penelopes letter, which says Penelope is leaving the school.

And apparently, Lizzie knew that already but neglected to tell her twin.

When Hope learns that, she starts to cry.

Apparently, she works at Triad, and Triad now has Landon.

As for Penelope, she ends the episode by saying goodbye.

Her mom got a job in Belgium and theres a great witch-only school there.

Josie asks her to stay, but she says she cant watch Josie put herself second anymore.

And she definitely cant watch what comes next.

And that brings us to the end of another wonderful hour of this show.
