TheJussie Smolletthate crime case has erupted into a flurry of dramatic and conflicting media reports.
The police have dubbed the duo persons of interest in the case.
TheChicago ABC station reportsthat police confirmed Smollett is considered a victim and the investigation is ongoing.

He remains a core player on this very successful series and we continue to stand behind him.
Chicago PD has not confirmed this, however, and police have not replied to EWs request for comment.
