I think its just something that probably is ever-evolving in an artist.
In this particular project, every song, they change vastly.

Theres Weed, Whiskey and Willie, thats just a really stone-cold country song.
I love playing rhythm guitar while Johns wailing, playing solos.

The solo is there to enhance and to service the song.
So we dont need to take up all the airtime.

For instance, the band recorded the blistering Shoot Me Straight in a very loose, live environment.
You performed it like a band.

It took some convincing, but hes glad the album reflects the flaws.
Ive finally gotten to the point where I love the mistakes.
But for months, it was hard to listen to it because its vulnerable.
