Everybody here is just trying to find a way to move forward with all this dysfunction.
Theyre trying to move past betrayals, lies, and the violence that seems to follow all of them.
By the end of Mums the Word, hes maybe found that place, but at what cost?
Zapata has her own way of working through issues: a whole lot of kickboxing.
She keeps replaying Pattersons reaction to the secret about Borden.
Eventually, the team has to come together to make their plans for Blakes gala.
The trick to unpackingBlindspotis assuming every single person is a terrorist.
Patterson is doing her best to freeze Zapata out, but Reade wont let it happen.
Not unlikeThe Americans, that plan mostly involves wigs.
The key to the plan, and the biggest variable, is Avery.
She knows Blake, and shes sure she can secure an invite.
She does and, as a result, gets everybody in.
I can handle myself, a line that isallJane.
Like mother like daughter.
If the FBI tries to get him, hell kill their chance at getting Crawford and Bruyere.
Weller is worried that hes had to change the plan, but Jane knows thats not it.
Rather, Roman has flipped and is working with Crawford.
Why would he suddenly change his mind after months of leading the team on this chase?
Simply: for love.
Hes risking everything because of Blake.
Hes so good at this Tom Jakeman stuff that the family has made him one of their own.
The FBI does everything they can to stop Roman, Bruyere, and Crawford from escaping.
Weller cant believe this opportunity has slipped through their fingers, but in some ways Jane understands Romans motivation.
Hes never had love or a family, and now he does.
Like I said, there are a lot of dysfunctional families here.
Still, the FBI is trying to piece their strange family back together.
Maybe its working, maybe not.
She put herself out there, years too late, and now their relationship is ruined.
She cant go to the wedding.
She cant watch him get married.
She cant watch him create a future without her.
Theyve overcome a lot, and now theyre bonding over vegan burgers (to Wellers dismay).
But, the threats arent going away.
Roman, the FBIs lead on Crawford for months, is now working with the enemy.
