Season 2 shifted the stakes and the storytelling forever, though. In other words,Billionscould only be the story of Axe vs. Chuck for so long. Wags and the staff are livid that this is happening, seeing it as a threat to their jobs....

(Side note: yes it is, but thats not the point). Its why they can profit off of a space engineer dying, or a small town going bankrupt. They have no leash, or if they do, its a seriously long one. The trick is that the show understandswhento use them for maximum effect. The episode begins with Dake and Connerty offering Chuck Sr. full immunity in exchange for testimony against his son. Whats even more intriguing is that theres truly no way to know what Chuck Sr. will do....

Well, I was right, but theres a good chance that The Overton Window is even better. Chucks deal with Axe is paying off. That means record low voter turnout, which is a good thing for Chuck. Not everyone wants Chuck to back out....
